Healthier Baked Apples

Fall calls for baked apples! This healthier version is made with oats, walnuts, and just enough sugar to make them perfectly sweet.

Preparing the Apples

To begin things, I cut the tops off the apples and scooped out the centers to make room for the yummy fillings. I then placed the apples in a 8x8 baking dish and added a bit of water to the bottom of the pan.

I covered the apples with foil and baked them for 25 minutes

Making the Filling

While the apples were baking, I mixed the the oats, walnuts, butter, and sugar. I then divided the filled between the apples and placed them in a baking dish with a little bit of water in the bottom of it. I covered the pan with foil and baked them up!

When the apples were done, I removed them form the oven, took off the foil and stuffed the apples evenly with the filling and returned them to the oven, uncovered, for 10 more minutes

Serve Hot and Enjoy! Add some Vanilla or Caramel low point icecream for an even better treat! Points will Vary based on icecream brand
