Roasting the Squash
I cut my butternut squash in half the long way with a sharp knife and i scooped all the seeds out from the bulb. I then sprayed the tops of the squash with my non-stick spray and sprinkled on my salt, pepper, pumpkin pie spice, and brown sugar. i then placed my squash, cut side up on a baking sheet and roasted it in the oven
Turning Squash into Mash
I used a large spoon and scraped the squash out and into a mixing bowl. I added in my butter and mashed the squash up using my large spoon and mixed it in with the butter. I served the squash hot as a perfect side dish for Fall!
