Cheesy Stuffed Shells

Giant shells stuffed with a cheese mixture and smothered in a tasty tomato sauce

WW My Way Smart Points: 14 Green, 14 Blue, 13 Purple

Cooking the Shells

I filled a large pot about 2/3rds full with water and added some salt. I then brought the water to a boil and added in the shells and let them simmer for 14 minutes so that they were soft enough to stuff, but not too soft that they don't hold the cheese.

Cheesy Filling

While the shells were cooking, I mixed the cheeses and the egg together in a medium bowl. I then added in the oregano, parsley, salt and pepper stirred until it was combined.

Getting Stuffed

I spooned 1 1/2 cups of my canned tomato sauce on the bottom on the pan and seasoned the top with Italian seasoning and garlic powder. I then spooned a heaping spoonful of the cheese mix into each shell and placed the shell on the tomato sauce. I then covered the top of the shells with the remaining sauce and seasoning.

Finishing Up

I baked the shells in the oven for about 20 minutes so that the cheese in the shells were melted and the sauce bubbling. I then removed the shells from the oven, served them up, and enjoyed! If you have extra points to spare and want to add some Parmesan on top it's delicious!
